Minister Kennith Whaley with Dr Janett Wilson with Ron Malec and family sponsors of the Maple Park Community Association Ron Malec Scholarship Program which will send 108 boys from our community schools Whistler Elementary, Higgins Academy and Shoop Academy to Leo Highschool on a four year Scholarship over the next 28 years.

The Maple Park Community Association and it's Community Partner Chicago State University is sponsoring The Urban Literacy Tutoring Program Service that provides an intense reading program to help develop and evaluate any learning barriers to help improve the academic skills of our community boy. The 6-8th grade boys who attend Whistler Elementary, Higgins Academy, Shoop Academy, Mount Vernon Elementary and Fernwood Elementary School are the boys enrolled in our program.
